poster analysis
This poster is for harry potter and the order of the phoenix. The main character (Harry Potter) is in the middle showing his importance. This may also show his ability to lead as there is people around him and this shows that he is more important in the story then they are and it also shows that they support him. We can tell from the background that that they are all good characters that the audience should like as they back the main character in the light which is a sign of good. Although this light may be a symbol of good and hope it could also be that the light is fading behind them as the good times are going and the bad things are about to start. At the top of the poster we see a slogan which says "the rebellion begins" this could mean that the main characters of this film series are rebelling against someone or something or that they could be fighting a rebellion which is dangerous to their way of life. The title pays most attention to the name Harry Potter this is becaus eit is from the books and attracts a certain audience.

poster analysis
This poster is for Skyfall, in the middle of the poster we can see a character who is wearing a full suit which may show his high status or it may show that he has a lot of money and can afford expensive suits. In the background we can see a dark half and a light half this may reflect the characters battle between good and evil, It could also show the battle that this character is going through in his mind as he may be coming from a dark place and trying to find his way into the light. We can tell this is a James Bond film by the poster because it has the iconic background of the main character James Bond being down the barrel of a gun and this is iconic from the first James Bond films. The difference e can see in this one compared to the iconic one is that he is walking toward the gun holder and this tell the viewer that he has intent and he isnt scared of a gun. We can see the title of the film in the bottom of the poster which shows that the title will have a massive effect on the story as it may be key to the character. the release sate is just under the James Bond logo (0070 this shows that the release date is a little less important than using another code from the film. The date is also left ambiguous as as it just says a name of month it gets released.

poster analysis

This poster is for a film called rocky IV this is easy to tell as the bold writing shows that the title of the film is very important as the name carries weight in the film and in popular culture of the time. the color scheme brings prevalence to the American flag and the character who is holding it with his boxing gloves, this could show that he is fighting for the american flag or it could be that he is fighting in a foreign country. The bright bold colors may suggest that this character will be the only hope in the film. the dark colors in the background could suggest that he is in danger or that he has broken through the dark and dangerous times.

This poster is a poster for star wars episode four. The poster is very complex as we can see many different levels as in the background there is a dark character we know to be a villain in the foreground we see the possible love interest as we see two characters looking deeply into the others eyes and they look they are going to kiss we also see other smaller characters in the foreground showing their bright colours provokes feelings of hope but their is another film character who we dont know who he is and this creates a small amount of mystery and difference. The brighter colours around the top left coprner may show a place where there is a good character or where the main characters will go, this colour also can also mean hope therefore it means that it could be a symbol of hope in the film. Lastly the three characters in the middle left of the screen
